One of my favorite things to do lately is spread the gospel about music and new bands and send ITUNES gifts to friends… it’s so easy… matter a fact, for me when the clock hits midnight and it becomes new music tuesday i go SHOPPING. I probably buy 5-7 new records a week. I cherish them. Last week I got Cursive, Bon Iver, New Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lisa Hannigan and Fever Ray (which is a bit bizarre, but i was a fool in love for The Knife)

I ALSO got the new ep to a FANTASTIC band called Asteroids Galaxy Tour. I was introduced to them via BBM picture via Mia Moretti AKA DJ Mia Moretti FKA DJ Group-E. Anyway, I ran online only to find that they were playing on my night off in Chicago the other day… so of course i went and saw them. SO FUN. She’s like a young Kate Moss/Twiggy with a voice from outerspace and has no inhibitions, which i love about any woman on stage. So if you’re cruising around itunes this week… sample their EP… it’s only a few dollars… I wish i had all y’alls emails… i would be a gifter.

maybe one day i could share the same stage with them… they are gonna be HOT this summer…HOT. I swear.

Hey! Fank you Aussies! I got news that I won the breakthrough artist of the year award at the MTV Australian VMA’s. Amazing. I can’t wait to get back there… as it is always sunny in AUS. I especially LOVE MELBOURNE… what a fun show that was. See you in a couple of months lovers. G’day!

I was in NYC last weekend and the hotel i was staying at i guess did their homework(?) and had these in my room when i arrived. so.cute. i ate everyone one of their heads off. i like little things like this… the details of course make the big picture.

one the COOLEST magz has been so sweet to let me be their cover girl… their last cover girl :( since the mag goes online after this issue) and i am SO flattered. Jeremy Scott is one of my all time favorites ( www.jeremyscott.com ) and he shot the pictures while i got to prance around in his creations. I had a chimp on set with me that day… fun fact, she peed all over me, i had to take silkwood shower in the middle of shooting. Also something you should be addicted to is their blog. It’s the BEST most… “fuck yes” she said it blog. They are always on the new new, next next. Bookmark it and go out and get their last physical mag, they are collectors items now!

WOW. I want my childhood back and I want to COMPETE! I feel like Markus and I were raped from our childhood callings. He wasn’t given those big italian curls for NOT bouncing and skipping down a catwalk and I wasn’t given these big alien eyes for NOT batting at an array of pill popped judges. GIVE IT BACK. I have been in Europe for almost three weeks… and have obviously missed the best thing that has ever hit television. To tell you the truth… my mom entered me in one or two of these things. The first one was just at your local grocery store… i got 2nd place. It wasn’t a hard race… just between a couple of other girls in the grocery store and then I faintly remember doing a REAL pageant when we lived in Lake Havasu, AZ and I competed… and got 2nd place. 2ND PLACE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. DOWN TO THE BASEMENT WITH YOU. I bet it was cause mom cut corners… took her own pictures, over swarovski a jacket or something. Actually, you could probably not ever OVER swarovski ANYTHING in a Little Miss Perfect pagent! That is why I NEED TO COMPETE NOW. Even though I am 24, I still wear those same outfits… and still have my hair and makeup done like that… I am THEM. Plus I know exactly what I’d say if ANY question was picked outta a fish bowl… I mean I’ve done probably 5,000 interviews by now, I am READY for any curve ball! Okay, maybe there’s an age restriction. That’s fine, I’ll just become a pagent mom. I’m sure there’s room for two pagent bitches. Soft curls, fake lashes, crystals and big smile, welcome to your Little Miss Perfect addiction!!! (just bought my itunes season pass)
